Cross Timbers

Children’s Camp

What is CrossTimbers?

CrossTimbers Children’s Mission Adventure Camp exists to support local church efforts to reach lost children in their communities and to raise up a generation of kids with an authentic walk with God who actively serve others with missional living.  It is an overnight camp near Falls Creek that emphasizes missions, evangelism, worship, and FUN!

Camp Programing:

Missions education - Camp staffers share about personal and global missions experiences and children learn about missions through games, activities, and many other interactive experiences.

Recreation - Students will participate in ropes course, target sports, and water activities.

Tribes - Students will be divided into small groups for the week, called tribes, that are divided up by age and gender, and are led by summer staffers.

Chapel - Campers and sponsors will attend a large group worship experience in the morning and evening.

What ages can attend?

Children who have completed 3rd - 6th grade.

*Please note that those who have completed 6th grade are also able to attend Falls Creek Youth Camp, July 15-20,2024.  North Pointe would LOVE for those children to be able to attend both camps. But if this is not a possibility, we encourage children who have completed 6th grade to attend Falls Creek to begin building relationships within the youth ministry with their peers and small group leaders. But they are welcome at either - or both!

Lodging:

CrossTimbers has 5 dorms that each have numerous rooms with 12 beds. Boys and girls have separate dorms. A sponsor from North Pointe will always be assigned a room with North Pointe children. A minimum of two sponsors will be assigned to each room. It is a possibility that North Pointe will share a room with another church.

Dress Code

The intent of CrossTimbers dress code is to provide an equitable dress code for all campers that will encourage modesty above legalism. Parents and church leaders are urged to see that only clothing that meets the policies and regulations of the camp is brought to CrossTimbers. Please do not allow clothing you sense would be questionable for a Christian camp setting.

Since CrossTimbers is a Christian camp with a distinctly Christian atmosphere, the New Testament principle of modesty should always be the standard for dress at CrossTimbers. It is the responsibility of the sponsors from each church to model the standard of modesty and enforce the camp dress code.

While on CrossTimbers grounds, please remember the following:

  • Campers may not wear apparel that exposes the midriff, is extremely tight fitting, or has writing on

the back of pants or shorts.

  • Apparel may not display or promote tobacco, alcohol, controlled substances, or inappropriate

    language or pictures.

  • Tank tops are not allowed at CrossTimbers. Sleeveless shirts are acceptable but must go from the

neck to the shoulder seam and not be split down the side.

  • All shorts and dresses should be modest length.

  • Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times outside cabins, except while swimming.

  • Modest swimming suits are appropriate while swimming. A dark t-shirt must be worn over two-

piece swimming suits. Shorts and shirts are required for the waterfront.

  • Campers are encouraged to always wear closed-toe shoes due to the terrain and activities. Closed-

toed and closed heeled shoes are required to participate on the ropes course and watersports.
